Beading Classes

With all beading classes, students bring their own materials for their project unless otherwise stated!!

Call or stop in for a supply list.  If you come in sometime before the day of the class, we are happy to make suggestions or help you select your beads.

At the end of class you will receive a coupon for 10% off your next purchase. If something comes up and you have to cancel, you will receive a refund, if you call 48 hours before the class.

The Basics      $25.00

There are lots of things to know about beading. This class will teach you the fundamentals about beading materials, different kinds of beads and bead findings. At this class you will create a bracelet with “Beadalon”, a strong wire cable coated with nylon. Bring your own beads. We’ll supply the stringing material and clasp.

Wire Wrapping      $25.00

Once you learn to wrap wire the jewelry world is yours!! It’s fun to do when you learn the mechanics and make that perfect loop. It will add dimension to your beading. You’ll be able to make earrings in a snap. In class you’ll work on a bracelet with beads and wire. Deb Prusi

Fairy Bugs       $30.00

Karen Mitchell has created the cutest garden fairy bug. You'll start with a salt shaker. She'll teach you how to manipulate wire to make legs and wings. You'll be able to hang it wherever you wish. We'll provide the salt shaker, you bring the wire and beads. It is darling...you'll make more for your friends.

Soldered Glass Pendants      $30.00
 
Make your own jewelry with glass. We’ll use microscope slides and other glass. You will learn to solder with a soldering iron. You’ll choose an image to put under glass and solder around it. We’ll provide images for you to use, but bring small color copies of your favorite photos if you’d like to personalize your jewelry. Tam Helmin

Cold Metal Connections Workshop    $35.00
 
We'll be making pendants and charms using cold connections - no soldering!  We'll learn how to cut shapes from sheet metal using die punches and a jeweler's saw.  We'll create textures with hammers and metal stamps.  Connections between metal layers will be made with eyelets and wire.  Kris Molander

Etching Copper     $30.00

Etching copper involves using acid. We will set up an etching bath for class. You will learn how to prepare the metal for etching, add images to the metal to be etched and complete the etching process. You'll go home with your etched pieces ready to make into jewelry! Jackie Ferrian
